General Skin Exam:
A comprehensive assessment of the entire skin surface. It involves a visual inspection of the skin to check for any abnormalities, such as moles, lesions, rashes, or changes in skin texture.

Dermatoscope:
A non-invasive method that involves using a dermatoscope, a handheld magnification tool with a light source, to examine moles and skin lesions in detail.

Skin Biopsy:
A small sample of tissue is removed from the affected area and sent to a laboratory for analysis. This helps determine whether a growth is cancerous or benign.

Skin Allergy Testing:
Also known as patch testing or prick testing, is performed to identify allergic reactions to specific substances or allergens.

Wood’s Lamp Examination:
A specialized ultraviolet (UV) light source used to examine the skin’s pigmentation and identify certain skin conditions, such as fungal infections or pigment disorders.

Confocal Microscopy:
An advanced imaging technique that allows Dr. Nubayra to examine skin tissue at a cellular level.

Mole Mapping:
This exam leverages a technique that uses photography to create a detailed record of a person’s moles and other skin features.

Cryotherapy and Liquid Nitrogen Treatment:
Freezing the lesions with liquid nitrogen is a common treatment method.

Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) Test
A KOH prep test is a simple, non-invasive procedure for diagnosing fungal infections of the skin or nails. Cells are collected from the affected area, placed on a slide with a solution consisting of potassium hydroxide, and examined under a microscope to look for signs of a fungus.KOH prep test is quick, accurate, and virtually painless.

Culture and Sensitivity
A culture is a test to find germs (such as bacteria or a fungus) that can cause an infection. A sensitivity test checks to see what kind of medicine, such as an antibiotic, will work best to treat the illness or infection.

Allergy Testing (RAST or IgE Testing)
An allergy blood test measures a substance called immunoglobulin E (IgE) in your blood. IgE is an antibody that your body makes. If you have allergies, you may have more IgE in your blood than normal.

Skin Prick Test
prick testing, is performed to identify allergic reactions to specific substances or allergens.
